The Netherlands Women's Team put on a stunning performance in the key on Day 4, shooting their way to a 106-16 win against Turkey.
It was the Netherlands who earned the first points of the game, moving to a 4-0 lead before Turkey closed the gap back down to two (2-4). However, from there the Netherlands pushed their way to a commanding lead: the Dutch Team holding a 32-2 lead at the end of the first quarter
The strength in depth of the Netherlands Team was again evident in the second quarter, as they rotated their bench. Combining a strong performance in the key with high pressure defence, the Netherlands forced the Turkish side into taking very long shots; the half ending 54-8 to the Dutch.
The Netherlands continued their solid performance in the third quarter, working to an 86-12 advantage with just 10 minutes left in the game.
Turkey earned the first shot of the final quarter, but it was the Netherlands who pushed ahead once more – becoming the first team to hit the 100 point mark courtesy of a great shot from Roos Oosterbaan. From there, the Dutch secured a tremendous 106-16 victory.
