The final Women’s game of Day 2 at the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships saw Turkey and Germany return to court; the defending champions sending a resounding message with a high-scoring 91-30 win.
After a tough game against France the previous day, Germany opened with a stunning first quarter performance against Turkey to take a 27-4 lead after 10 minutes of play.
The second quarter saw the defending Champions continue to build upon their impressive start as they played to a 53-12 advantage at half time.
The Turkey Women continued to make their opponents work at both ends of the court, but Germany uphold their level of play to head into the final 10 minutes ahead by 73-21.
Indeed, the German Women’s Team maintained the pressure on their opponents in the final quarter; nevertheless it was Turkey who took the final seven points of the game. Germany, however, earning a 91-30 win.
